Annette and I spent our weekend in Waco, Texas. We attended THE LONE STAR ANTIQUE ARMS CONVENTION. The shows venue is Tucker Hall located west of Waco on Highway 6. It is a very nice facility and is perfect for this show. Here is a link to some pictures and information on the hall. As always, some very nice old guns and ancillary items decided to pay us a visit. I saw lots of very nice antique arms and money change places. Not a single "black gun" visited. One of the event highlights was a celebration of Leo Bradshaw's 80th birthday. He was presented a card signed by the attendees, a birthday cake, and best of all, a stunning and moving rendition of Happy Birthday sang by those who attended the barbecue. Leo is one of the founding fathers of the TGCA. He is a walking talking book on antique firearms and a very fun person to know. We had some new table holders this year who added much to an already great show. The only down side to the weekend was the Arkansas Razorbacks overtime loss to Texas A&M. Had them Hog tied and let them go. We enjoyed seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones. I have said it before and will say it again, if the past is any indication of the future, The Lone Star Antique Arms Show will only get better.
