TULSA SPRING 2013
$whatever it takes
Item ID #727

Tulsa was a great show. Annette and I saw many friends and made some new ones. We look forward to this show. There is nothing else in the world that compares. It was our best show in five years. The isles were so crowded, I spent most of Saturday at our tables. My sister and brother-in-law came to the show. It was their first time for the Wanenmacher show. I believe we have created a monster. They plan on coming back at each and every opportunity. We made one special new friend. Her name is De'Ara. What a cutie!! Our neighbor table holder hired this beyond her years 15 year old to help keep tabs on him and his dad. His dad is 94 and is a retired judge, a handful, I promise. She did an outstanding job of keeping order. It was no easy task. Believe me!! I bought and sold some fine pieces. Bought two of the best 1894 Winchesters I have ever seen. Proud additions. Might turn them loose someday, but maybe not. If you have never been to the Tulsa Show, do yourself a favor and go. It is like nothing else you have ever seen. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza. It was across the street from Oral Roberts University. Nice place. Just a hint to you bargain shoppers out there. Use Priceline or a similar service. The best rate I found was $107. I won the room with a $45 bid on Priceline. The way I figure, dinner was free. What a deal. Would take it every time.
