WINCHESTER 1894 TD, PG, OCTAGON, W.F. SHEARD
Item ID #518
This special order Model 1894 was made in 1910. The bore in the 26" octagon barrel is bright and shiny and rates a nine. A lot of the original blue remains on the receiver, barrel, and magazine tube. Case colors remain as well. The wood to metal fit is excellent and the wood is in very good shape. The pistol grip stock and forearm are smooth with no checkering. The action is tight and smooth. The takedown lock-up is tight also. The caliber is 32 WS. The numbers and the letters are clear and easy to see. On the left side of the receiver it says FROM W F SHEARD TACOMA WASH. Sheard was a gun dealer in Tacoma Washington and was well known for the sights he patented. This is a very nice rifle with some great features. It will make a great addition to any collection. A C&R is ok.
