HALL 1819 PERCUSSION CONVERSION CONFEDERATE ?
Item ID #2218
This is a very interesting Hall model 1819 percussion conversion. It appears to be a field alteration completed during the period of use. Very well could have been Confederate. I have no proof, but it does have a high probability, based on how it was done. The action is very tight and works as it should. Wood to metal fit is very good and the wood is in very decent shape. Bore in the 32 3/4" is dark, but does have good rifling. All the metal markings are shown in the pictures. This piece will make a very interesting addition to any collection.
