This Colt Banker's Special was sent to the National Matches, Camp Perry, Ohio on August 11, 1938. It was sent back to Colt on September 28, 1938. It was then shipped to Joseph Lorch in Washington D.C. on December 21, 1938. A high percentage of the original blue finish remains. There are three areas I want to point out. The first is behind the trigger. The second area is to the right side of the hammer. The third area is the underside of the trigger guard. Each area appears to have been in contact with hard metal. You can see the areas in the pictures. Grips are nice with cracks or chips. Markings are clear and original. Numbers match. Action is smooth and tight. It works perfectly. Bore is bright and shiny, shows very little use. You will like this pistol. As you know, Banker's in 22 caliber are very desirable. This one has an interesting history with to be found. It will make a great addition to any collection.
