This 36 caliber Colt 1851 navy was made in 1864. A nice amount of the original blue finish remains. Original case color remains as well. Traces of silver remains on the backstrap and trigger guard. Grips are excellent and fit perfectly. Frame to barrel fit is very tight. There is no play. I just noticed one of the screws is missing on the backstrap. Markings are clear, correct, and original. Action works perfectly and is very tight. Lever is not numbered. All other numbers match including the wedge and arbor. I took a lot of pictures of the cylinder scene. It is complete. You can also see the "ENGAGED MAY 1843" on the cylinder. Bore in the 7 1/2" barrel is shiny with very good lands and grooves, along with some pitting. It will rate a seven on a one to ten scale. This Colt 1851 Navy will make a nice addition to your collection.
