TWO MERWIN HULBERTS 1st one is sold
Item ID #1995

SOLD I would like to sell these as a pair, but will divide them up. The first one is a 1st Issue 2nd Model .38 Merwin Hulbert. The side plate has been partially cleaned to get rid of some engraving. The engraving said PROPERTY OF CHICAGO CITIZENS COMMITTEE No. 6. Bore in the 3 1/2" barrel is shiny with good lands and grooves, along with some pitting. It will rate a six on a one to ten scale. As you can see the original nickel finish has flaked in places. It has turned to a soft silver color. Markings are complete. Grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. Numbers match. Action is tight and smooth. These pistols are well known for the suction which pulls the barrel and cylinder back to the frame after being pulled forward. This one still has the suction working just fine. $475 SOLD

The second pistol is a five shot .32 caliber double action. It is factory engraved by Otto Bodenstien, and well known engraver for Merwin Hulbert. All numbers do match. Action works perfectly and is tight. Pearl grips are nice with a small sliver missing at the top left. Didn't notice it till I looked at the pictures. Bore in the 3" barrel is shiny with strong lands and grooves. It will rate a seven on a one to ten scale. $400

Pictures are accurate and show the condition of each pistol fairly.
