LINDNER BAVARIAN CIVIL WAR CAVALRY CARBINE CONVERSION RARE
Item ID #1967
You probably have not seen one of these before. It is a Lindner conversion at Amoskeg N.H. of a Bavarian cavalry carbine. It is one of 500 converted and issued to the 1st Michigan Volunteer Cavalry. These were the first Lindners of the Civil War. Wood to metal fit is excellent. Wood is nice. Bore in the 20" barrel is surprisingly good. It is bright and shiny with excellent lands and grooves. It will rate a very easy eight. Action works. Caliber is .56. Barrel is properly marked as shown. I have taken a lot of pictures which clearly and fairly shows the condition of this very rare Bavarian/Lindner. It will make a great addition to any collection.
