Bet you have probably noticed the ivory grips. They are excellent with no cracks or chips. Fit is perfect. Checkering is very well done and even the escutcheons are checkered. They are not numbered. Bore in the 5" barrel has good lands and grooves. Still has some shine along with some pitting. It will rate a 6 on a one to ten scale. Action is tight and the cylinder also locks up tight. Barrel markings are correct and original. What makes this pistol a bit unique is the Smith & Wesson patent date to the left side of the top barrel flat. Pond made these pistols which were a direct infringement of the Rollin-White patent. Pond lost a suit which was brought by S&W.
The 4486 pistols already produced were marked with the S&W patent date. Numbers match "6107". Even the original screw driver is still screwed into the butt. Caliber is .32. This pistol is priced right and will make a nice addition to your collection.
