According to the Colt Archives letter this pistol was sold to the Police Department in Greenwood, South Carolina. Shipping was to W.S. Darley, Chicago, Illinois on July 22, 1935. I just ordered the letter and it will be forwarded upon receipt. It is guaranteed to confirm the information in this description. This pistol shows use, as would be expected from a police department pistol. There is some pitting on slide and less pitting on the frame. All markings are clear, correct, and original. Action is smooth and tight. It works perfectly. Bore is shiny with very strong lands and grooves. It will rate an eight on a one to ten scale. All parts are guaranteed 100% original and correct. Grips have no cracks or chips. Number on the slide matches the number on the frame.
